Vinyl Cutter or Flatbed Plotter: Which One Fits Your Shop?
Roll-feed vinyl plotters and industrial flatbeds solve different jobs. Here is how sign shops decide.
A roll-feed vinyl plotter such as the C24, D24 Pro, or V36 is built for signs, decals, heat-transfer apparel, and window graphics. Media comes off a roll and cutting length is not limited by a bed.
A flatbed or auto-feeder machine such as the A3 MAX 4 or CA-48 Pro is built for sheets, packaging samples, and heavier production. Servo motors and higher force matter when the material is thick or the run is long.
If your work is mostly stickers and shop signs, start with a vinyl plotter. If you already run sheet jobs all day, look at the auto-feeder and industrial models.
